The Garden State has it all. As a New Jersey native, I stand by that statement more than anyone. From the vast Jersey Shore to the base of the Appalachian Trail up in Sussex County, New Jersey continues to be the most versatile state for picturesque visuals. We really have it all in this tiny, densely populated state. While we get on each other’s nerves on the Parkway and flip each other the unofficial state bird, the Jersey love is palpable, and nothing says Jersey love quite like a New Jersey wedding.

Weddings in New Jersey are some of the most unique weddings you can have. For one, there’s a variety of venues, and in our experience, they all have their own vibe that helps elevate the day. We’ve filmed weddings all across the state, from the beaches of Asbury Park, to the rustic farms of North and Central Jersey. Each laid out the perfect backdrop for the perfect New Jersey wedding video. But don’t take it from me, see for yourself!

While I may be a little biased (considering that’s me in the video), I think that may be one of the most beautiful wedding films we’ve ever shot! The October sunset cast a lovely gradient behind us, and the ocean sang its siren song. The Jersey Shore may be known for its boardwalks and oversized pizza slices, but that day, it was filled with love.
Popular New Jersey wedding venues for cinematic films
We’ve covered the shore, but now we’ll travel up the state to North Jersey, where some of the most iconic wedding venues dot the rolling hills. North Jersey is home to a plethora of wedding venues that offer locations for stunning visuals. Perona Farms, for instance, is a venue that on the outside may look like any other barn, but on the inside is almost like a rustic speakeasy. Once you’re ushered upstairs after cocktail hour, you enter a massive space the length of the barn, ripe for ripping up a dancefloor. The exteriors at this venue offer plenty of places for portraits during the day, including a lovely swing set on a pond!
Hayley & Kyle - Perona Farms in Andover Township, New Jersey
While we’ve already covered unique New Jersey wedding films all across the state, one city served as the backdrop for this next film that you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see on this list. Newark, New Jersey, known as “Brick City” or “Nork” to locals, was home to one of the prettiest weddings we’ve ever filmed. Erin & Kevin, who call Newark their home, wanted a wedding reflective of their love for their city. The couple had a lovely Catholic ceremony at the Blessed Sacrament St. Charles Borromeo church at Van Ness Place. Afterwards, guests toured some of the city’s small businesses, including Brown Mill, an apparel store, and Tonnie’s Minis for bite-sized treats. Guests then arrived at an outdoor reception in the gardens of the Greater Newark Conservancy. This wedding was so Newark, even Newark’s Mayor Ras Baraka came by! Just goes to show that you can have a kick ass wedding anywhere in this state!
